Informatix Software has introduced Piranesi 5 for Mac.
Piranesi can be used to skin textures and add details to 3D frameworks in order to develop fast artist impressions and photo-realistic scenes. It's widely used within ads agency creative departments, the software published claims.
“Piranesi version 5 represents a big step forward for our Mac customers, with extensive functional enhancements and a wide range of UI improvements - plus it’s a universal binary, meaning that it will run natively on Intel Macs too,” said Simon Bennett, Informatix Software’s product manager.
Piranesi accepts output directly from most popular rendering applications and responds to depth and material information stored in each pixel. The software also offers intelligent painting tools which can focus on specified areas of a design.
Piranesi 5 offers more built-in brushes, textures, support for multi-fills, cutouts and effects and more. A 30-day trial version of the software is available now for download, a license costs £395.
