Quark has confirmed it will support Pantone's latest colour specification system - Goe - that has been developed specifically for the graphics industry.
This system offers graphic designers, printers, publishers, packagers and pre-press providers advanced colour accuracy for over 2,000 new Pantone colours.
Goe offers advanced colour options, enhanced collaboration and improved versatility for designers in today's increasingly multimedia environment.
"For over 45 years Pantone has been at the forefront of colour for graphic arts and the introduction of the Goe System represents an important milestone. Like Pantone, Quark is dedicated to driving innovation within the industry, and we are proud to make the new colour system available through QuarkXPress 7," said Jurgen Kurz, senior vice president of products for Quark.
"Quark customers will appreciate not only the thousands of new colours available, but also the advanced accuracy of colour representation from creation to output."
The Goe System will be made available for download by QuarkXPress 7 users at Quark's resource centre in October.
Once downloaded, the new colour system will appear as a colour library option listed on the QuarkXPress 7 colours palette.
