Salesforce has finished testing its solutions with Apple's Safari browser and declared official support for that browser.
"Our QA team recently finished validating Safari 3.0 on MacOS X 10.4 (Tiger) and 10.5 (Leopard) for use with Salesforce, and we're happy to announce that we officially support Safari 3.0 on those operating systems," the company says.
The company hasn't yet ratified support for Safari 3.0 for Windows, as Apple still rates that application a beta, "and we have logged several (minor) bugs that we have found in the Windows version of Safari," Salesforce said.
"However, overall Safari 3.0 on both Windows and MacOS works extremely well with Salesforce. I myself have been using Safari 3.0.4 on Windows XP to log into Salesforce for several weeks now with no problem. And performancewise, it's very snappy," wrote Jerry Sherman of Salesforce's User Experience team.
Salesforce provides on-demand Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions.
