Veteran Mac publisher, Tidbits, has published the latest in its series of downloadable 'Take Control' books, this time offering a beginners' guide to Dreamweaver.
University of Victoria professor, Arnie Keller's "Take Control of Getting Started with Dreamweaver" explains what users need to know in order to build a professional-looking website using the leading web design application.
In an interesting move toward multimedia book publishing, the book contains clickable links, examples and short video tutorials to illustrate topics discussed by Keller.
The book is designed to help new users get to grips with the complexities of Dreamweaver's user interface.
It explains Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), layers and the use of templates to develop sites with multiple pages. It also discusses the fundamentals of good web design.
The 88-page ebook costs $10 and is available online. A 21-page sample is also available.
