Apple's latest profile report looks at the fortunes of London-based post-production house, UNIT, an all-Mac shop which has seen business thrive since launch.

The studio's success speaks for itself. Since opening just over one year ago business has boomed, and the house is attracting users seeking space to assemble feature films.

UNIT's entire workflow is based on Macs and Xserves. The company offers suites for use of Apple's creative video solutions: Shake, Motion, Color, Final Cut Pro, and media is flipped between studios using UNIT"s built-in Xsan network.

The resulting combination offers video producers speed and versatility - even though the industry thought UNIT's founders "crazy" when the project began last year.

"We’re getting people interested in doing features here, which is amazing for a company that only opened its doors just over a year ago”, UNIT managing director David Peto said.

“Final Cut Pro is a completely viable professional solution. I wouldn’t use anything different. This is the way I see the industry going”.
