Apple has cut the cost of two of its 15-inch LCD iMacs, including the 15-inch SuperDrive model.

The entry-level 15-inch LCD iMac now costs £999 (including VAT), down from £1,049. Features remain unchanged: a 700MHz G4 processor; 256K L2 cache; 128MB RAM; 40GB drive; CD-RW; 10/100BASE-T Ethernet, and NVidia GeForce2 MX graphics card.

The SuperDrive-equipped iMac now costs £1,399, a £100 price cut from its previous £1,499 price bracket. Features of this model include an 800MHz processor; 256K L2 cache; 256MB RAM; 60GB drive; a DVD-R/CD-RW SuperDrive; 10/100BASE-T Ethernet, and NVidia GeForce2 MX graphics card.

Apple's combo-drive model holds its price of £1,199, as does the 17-inch SuperDrive model, which costs £1,649.
