Iomega is shipping its Peerless drive - a pocket-sized device offering between 10 and 20GB of storage on removable cartridges.

The company, which also manufactures Zip and Jaz drives, began shipping Peerless yesterday. It supports FireWire, USB or SCSI connectivity, and offers transfer speeds up to 15MB per second.

Peerless ships with a basic unit and a single storage cartridge. The USB or FireWire 10GB version costs $359.95 - no UK price is available yet - while the 20GB version costs £251. 10GB cartridges formatted for Macs cost $159.95, while 20GB versions cost $199.95.
