3dfx has released a beta version of the Voodoo3 5.0 Macintosh developer drivers.
The drivers include support for the Voodoo3 3000 PCI board. They also include two selectable ROMs, for 143MHz and 166MHz clock speeds - featured on the Voodoo3 2000 PCI and Voodoo3 3000 PCI respectively. The release of these drivers lets developers utilise the company's fastest PCI board on the Mac.
These drivers are available for download from the 3dfx Web site.
3dfx’s voodoo move is designed to extend its reach into the Apple market. The company also revealed that it is planning to release further Mac products.
