In an attempt to help Chinese users go legitimate, Adobe has slashed 80 per cent from the cost of Creative Suite 2.
"The new price cut will provide a relatively-low entry level for small and medium-sized enterprises in China, which we expect will help them form a habit of using authentic copyrighted software," Adobe (China) marketing manager Fang Xing told Interfax.
Adobe is running several initiatives in China. While China is one of the world's fastest-growing markets it is also among the world's leading country's for pirate goods.
The new deal is only available to Chinese users who buy two or more licenses for the product. Adobe slashed general retail prices for Chinese versions of its software in the region by 50 per cent earlier this year.
Adobe stressed China to be one of its most important markets.
