ICE is now shipping its BlueICE SDI video card for Adobe After Effects users.
The card is an add-on daughter card to ICE’s BlueICE hardware, providing real-time, uncompressed, frame-accurate video capture, playback and print-to-tape.
Users can preview, digitize and transfer to tape within Adobe After Effects. A pull-down menu captures uncompressed 8-bit SDI video directly to disk. Integrated, frame-accurate deck control is available through the Mac serial port, so users capture only what they want.
The card is available for PAL and NTSC video standards. It ships with software that displays the After Effects Composition Window on the video production monitor with true luminance and gamma settings. Once the work is finished, output is rendered to disk in the ICE SDI Video codec – a standard QuickTime format compatible with all QuickTime applications.
