Hot on the heels of the Apple QuickTime update that solves a problem encountered installing Creative Suite 2 (CS2) on Intel Macs, Adobe has added new troubleshooting guides for affected users.
In recent weeks, users have reported problems installing and running CS2. These problems were eventually identified as stemming from Apple's recently released QuickTime 7.1 update.
Adobe and Apple engineers rushed to repair the problem. Apple has since released QuickTime 7.1.1, which repairs the problems faced.
Adobe's new technical support articles include documents concerning a problem in which Intel Macs would freeze during start-up after QuickTime 7.1 was installed.
Problems running, installing and activating CS2 have also been described.
