Apple is set to make a major music-related announcement MacCentral reports.
The company has invited selected media to the special event, which takes place in San Francisco on the morning (PST) of April 28. Dropping a heavy hint, Apple promises the announcements "will be music to your ears".
The announcements are likely to involve one of three recently rumoured Apple developments - a music-download service, new iPod configurations, or a possible buyout by Apple of Universal music.
Apple CEO Steve Jobs has subsequently denied the Universal claims, saying: "Apple has never made any offer to invest in or acquire a major music company."
