Apple has announced this year's special event for Mac-using educators, the Apple Teacher Institute 2006 (ATI 2006).
This year's ATI will take place at Malvern College in Worcestershire between April 18-21.
Apple's annual event for teachers, the ATI's have become highly popular, attracting teachers from beyond the UK. Space at the events is strictly limited and they cost money to attend.
The events are residential courses designed to meet a wide variety of technology professional development needs, from basic technical knowledge to advanced leadership skills. "In the age of digital literacy and creativity, educators need to seek out best practice in the use of the tools available," Apple explains.
Teachers will engage in hands-on sessions exploring ways to bring teaching to the classroom. Topics covered include: digital storytelling; podcasting; creating content using video and editing software; sharing and publishing projects; action planning and portfolio development; learning skills in subject/age group relevant projects.
