Paris, France is set to become the marketing hub for Apple's European operations, Macworld’s sister magazine Macwelt reports.
Marketing for Germany, Austria and Switzerland is to move to Paris, following similar a move for the UK’s marketing last year. Control of advertising management is also expected to transfer to Apple's French offices.
The magazine describes this as the "Top seven countries strategy". Besides the UK, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, these seven countries are made up of France, Italy, Sweden and the Netherlands. The managers of these branch offices will report to Paris as the "European Leadership Team".
Management in these countries is promised massive support from Apple's Paris headquarters in the form of advertising and marketing strategies. Countries outside this group will not qualify for this support.
