Apple has revealed UK prices for the 8-core Mac Pros it announced yesterday, and also confirmed new prices for its range of Cinema Displays.
Apple sells its Mac Pro range using a modular pricing system. Users simply configure the machine to be the workstation they want, with a starting £1,699 price tag.
The addition of two 3.0GHz Quad-core Intel Xeon processors (the 8-core Mac) adds £960 to the basic price – users can have an 8-core desktop Mac for £2,659.
Additional options include memory, graphic cards, additional hard drives and optical drives, the addition of Bluetooth and AirPort Extreme cards.
Apple also slashed the cost of its range of Cinema Displays yesterday, cutting up to £350 off the cost of these. New prices across the range are:
- 20-inch Cinema Display, £399 (formerly £529);
- 23-inch Cinema HD Display, £599 (formerly £779);
- 30-inch Cinema HD Display, £1,199 (formerly £1,549).
