Apple has held on to the contract to supply Macs to middle schools in a US education district.
Henrico County middle school students will use Macs for another four years under the deal, the Times Dispatch says. This follows a 3-1 vote by the local School Board which approved the $16 million deal.
The new contract is for 12,675 iBook laptops at a cost of $1,246 each.
However, children moving from middle school to high school will have to use Dell PCs. Dell has the contract to supply Henrico County high schools.
