Apple will go public with some of its product release plans during a special media meeting at its Cupertino, California headquarters next week.
US media are currently being invited to a special event at Apple's home campus. The event takes place on Tuesday 7 August at 10am (6pm, UK time).
According to multiple reports, Apple hasn't sent out its traditional electronic invitations to the event. Instead it has been calling selected journalists to invite them along.
MacNN reports sources have told it the event will focus on Mac-related announcements. Speculation has already begun that these will include new model iMacs and an all-new version of iLife, which was last updated in January 2006.
Interestingly, the meeting will be held at the same venue as that at which Apple announced the original iPod.
