Apple headquarters in Cupertino were shaken by the magnitude six earthquake which struck the state from LA to San Francisco yesterday.

Apple manager, Robert Lyng, told local newspaper the Mercury News that the quake "rocked his third floor office", and similar reports emanated from across California.

The earthquake was followed by a wave of 160 smaller after-shocks, the tremor's centre was "about seven miles" away from Parkfield, locally-known as California's 'earthquake capital'.
