Apple wants iPod In-Ear headphone users to ear different.
A note on the company's technical support pages advises users to open up, their ear canals that is.
Some In-Ear headphone users have complained at the sound quality of the products. Apple's advice? "For optimal sound quality and performance, the Apple In-Ear Headphones need to make a good seal with your ear canal."
The company exhorts users to, "open your ear canal a little wider when you insert the ear bud". It adds, "everyone's ears are different", and advises users to grasp the upper or lower part of their ear to pull the ear "gently" away from their head, "while slowly inserting the tip of the ear bud into the ear canal".
Apple also advises giving the speakers a good "wiggling" until they are securely in place.
