Former Linux technology manager for Apple, Kevyn Shortell, has left the company to work for Terra Soft.
Terra Soft is a developer of Linux technologies. It publishes Yellow Dog Linux for PowerPC.
Kai Staats, CEO of Terra Soft, said: "We have known and worked with Kevyn for nearly two years. His love for research and dedication to quality are well-matched with Terra Soft's ongoing development.
"Shortell offers a diverse range of skills, ranging from network and hardware engineering and developer relations, to systems administration and team leadership."
Shortell will initially work on wrapping-up development of the Yellow Dog Linux 2.0 release. He will also work with Terra Soft developers to improve hardware support, oversee Terra Soft's new test lab, and help build industry relations.
