Touting its iTunes service and more, Apple is exhibiting at French music exhibition Midem 2005 this week.
The company has published images taken at the event, images that clearly show Apple's major presence at this critical event for Europe's music industry - even the press room is jam-packed with iMacs.
Apple's importance to the burgeoning digital music industry continues to grow.
The Orchard co-founder Scott Cohen said: "We have experienced phenomenal income growth of late; what were once predictions of the future are now ordinary business activities. When we secure a featured placement for a relatively unknown artist in stores like iTunes, sales typically increase 100-1,000 times.
"Where digital sales might account for 1 per cent of a major’s income, we are seeing indie labels generate anywhere from 5-25 per cent of their income from digital sales.”
In related news to show the growing convergence between music and technology, Microsoft sponsored the launch night party.
