Apple has revealed the dates for Apple Teacher Institute 2005.

This annual event will take place at Cheltenham College between April 12-15, 2005.

These events are designed to introduce teachers from a range of academic institutions to Apple’s approach to digital-video technology with applications such as iMovie, iDVD, and QuickTime Pro.

Around 130 teachers came from the UK and abroad to take part in last year's event, also at Cheltenham College. Apple education staff and ten Apple Distinguished Educators attended the event to offer guidance and training on Apple's education-focused solutions, including iMovie, iDVD, Final Cut Express, QuickTime Pro, GarageBand and Boinx Software’s critically-acclaimed iStopMotion.

There's more information about last year available online. Numbers are strictly limited, teachers wishing to register their interest should contact Apple.

In related news, UK teacher's resource, Digital Video In Education (DV in Ed) has launched its new online Final Cut pro HD course, facilitated by tutor, Apple Distinguished Educator, David Baugh.

The Apple-approved (and certified) course is described as "an online equivalent to the five-day Apple Certified Training Course". It can lead to certification as an Apple Certified Pro.
