Apple is preparing to ship a new range of slimline aluminium MacBooks, reflecting perhaps the design aesthetic visible in the new slimiline iMac keyboard, a report claims.
Citing solid sources, English-language Mac website the Paris-based 9to5Mac is claiming both black and silver aluminium MacBooks will be released. These will be "considerably" slimmer than the current models with keyboards that "resemble" the new iMac keyboards.
The report indicates the new portable Macs will also be lighter than the current range, observing they will be "priced extremely aggressively".
Apple does not comment on unnanounced products, dismissing them as "rumour and speculation".
The MacBook range was last updated four months ago on May 15, when Apple introduced faster processors to the products.
