Apple will introduce new MacBook models after Leopard's release, a report claims.

Citing "sources", Think Secret believes Apple will introduce new MacBooks perhaps as soon as "later this month". The report suggests new models could be reaching customers by mid-November.

The report warns the update may just be a speed bump to the existing systems, but isn't clear whether Apple will migrate its consumer portables to faster processors, or to the processors fielded in MacBook Pros, which offer up to 2.8GHz speeds.

The report adds that its sources don't anticipate any further Mac upgrades until next year.
