Apple has released OS X Mavericks Developer Preview 3, a new beta version of the upcoming update to the Mac operating system.

The third preview, which arrived two weeks after Preview 2 was seeded to developers, focuses on bug and performance fixes. It's joined by a third beta of iOS 7, which was also released on Monday.

The final version of OS X Mavericks is set to be released to the general public in autumn. It will bring a variety of new features to the Mac, including new Maps and iBooks apps and new power user features.
