Apple is accepting applications for student scholarships to attend its Worldwide Developers Conference for free.

Those with Apple Developer Connection Student membership can apply – they must be enrolled in higher education part-time or full-time, and be over 18.

The application must include a CV in PDF format, along with information on any products released.

Apple claims that attending WWDC could help "jumpstart your professional career". The company says: "In addition to receiving in-depth information and practical coding guidance, you'll have plenty of opportunities at WWDC to network with Apple engineers and thousands of Mac developers from around the world."

Winners of a student scholarship receive a free Student E-ticket to the conference and access to special events during the conference week. The regular WWDC E-ticket price is $1,595.

WWDC takes place on June 6 – June 10 in San Francisco, California.
