Apple has released a pair of software updates for some Intel Macs.
The new software comprises Firmware Restoration CD 1.3 and MacBook Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.3.
Firmware Restoration CD 1.3 is used to restore the firmware of an Intel-based Macintosh computer. The software should be a user essential, as it can be used to get your Mac back in shape after an interrupted or failed update.
Users need to download the software and create a CD from it using any Mac, the CD can then be used to restore the firmware on any Intel Mac that isn't working correctly through a failed update.
Apple provides full instruction for burning a CD on its support webpage detailing the software.
The MacBook Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.3 fixes a display issue on 2.2/2.4GHz 15-inch MacBook Pro models. Users must have a previous iteration of the update - MacBook Pro Software Update 1.0 - installed on their machine in order for it to function.
The previous version of the software offered essential bug fixes for these models of MacBook Pro.
