Apple opened two new stores this weekend, in Germantown, Tennessee, and in Albany, New York, US.

According to reports from MacCentral, the Germantown store opened despite torrential downpours and flood warnings on Saturday.

The weather faired better for the Albany Store inauguration that opened the same day in Crossgates Mall, New York.

The Germantown and Albany stores have the same lay out as previous retail stores. The Germantown store overcame issues around Apple's logo. Officials prohibit both the use of food items on signs and the illumination of signs.

The Apple logo was let off because the store doesn't sell food, and Apple consented to illuminate Apple logos in store rather than outside.
