Apple has slashed the prices of its entry-level and middle-of-the-range iMacs by up to £100.
The entry level 500MHz iMac with 64MB of RAM was priced at £799 (all prices include VAT), it now costs £699. The 500MHz iMac with 128MB of RAM was £999 and is now £899, while the 600MHz iMac with 256MB of RAM has been cut from £1,199 to £1,099.
The top of the range 700MHz iMac with 256MB of RAM remains the same price at £1,299.
The price drops follow Apple's upgrade of entry-level iMacs in the UK announced earlier this month.
Apple upgraded the graphics card that ships with the model, adding an ATI Rage 128 Ultra graphics card with 16MB of video RAM.
