Apple has released maintenance update WebObjects 5.1.3.
WebObjects is Apple’s Java-based application-server and builder for Web publishing and in-house application-development.
The update includes updated versions of several WebObjects class and jar files.
Some WebObjects project types make copies of these files when the project is built. As a result, they may need to be rebuilt to take advantage of the issues addressed in the update. For example, when a JSP/(Java Server Page) Servlet war archive is created, several jars are copied into the war file.
Modified WebObjects include client-side Java classes and jars. On Mac OS X Server and Microsoft Windows, the installer automatically places the modified classes and jars in the Web server’s document root directory.
Two updates are available. If WebObjects 5.1 Developer is installed on Mac OS X 10.1.4, then WebObjects 5.1.3 Developer update is required. If WebObjects 5.1 Deployment is installed on Mac OS X Server 10.1.4, WebObjects 5.1.3 Deployment update is needed.
The updates are available through the Software Update feature of Mac OS X, and are also available for download.
