Apple will webcast its first quarter 2002 financial results conference call, which begins at 2:30pm Pacific time (10:30pm GMT) on Wednesday, January 16, 2002.
The event is expected to shed further light on the company's performance during the period. It will add information to the company's SEC filings, which were made between Christmas and New Year for the 2001 year.
Details released in the SEC report into Apple's performance in the 2001 financial period include: the revelation that Steve Jobs earned $1 salary in 2001; that the company increased research and development spending by 13 per cent; and that despite slackening market demand, Apple became a richer company during that financial year.
The webcast will be available, using QuickTime, from Apple's earnings page.
