Apple's latest feature article looks at the marketing and branding department at HSBC’s Canary Wharf headquarters.

The department manages its digital assets using Apple servers (a dual processor Xserve) and a 7TB Xserve RAID system. The company has two such set-ups, one stored off-site at a secure location for back-up.

The report claims the move to an Apple-based system has improved the department’s workflow while meeting data standards at the bank.

“We have been able to move from a system that was running separately from the rest of the network and to its own standards, to something that integrates with the network and provides comparable standards”, says departmental head James Sawyer.

"Today there really is nothing you can’t do with a Mac”, he added.
