Be has confirmed it plans to extend its service to users in Birmingham and Manchester.
Presently only available in London, the company hopes to enable 156 telephone exchanges that would provide services to Birmingham and Manchester users, this year.
"Since we broke the broadband speed record last year we have been focused on developing the best products we can and now we want to bring that innovation to much more of the UK," said Dana Pressman, managing director of Be Unlimited.
Be has also launched a 'Home email' package, which costs £2 per month and offers members up to five individual email accounts.
Be's 24MB broadband service costs from £14 per month and includes a free wireless router.
