Binatone has launched its Broadband wireless solution.
The solution – which includes an ADSL router modem, wireless-network access point and wireless PC card – costs £249.
The wireless products provide a high level of security by encrypting data at up to 256 bits, rather than the usual 128 bits, Binatone claims. Data transfer occurs at up to 22Mbps. All products are compatible with the IEEE 802.11b (AirPort) standard, and come with plug-&-play CD installation.
Users can have high-speed Internet access, network multiple devices to share files and programs, as well as peripherals – such as printers and scanners.
The products can also be purchased separately. The ADSL Ethernet and USB modem cost £89, the WL1100 Wireless Access Point costs £139, and each WL1000 PC card costs £59.
