Corel has released Bryce 5.0.1 an update to its 3D landscape terrain-generation software Bryce 5.
Bryce 5 creates photo-realistic landscapes and models. The 5.0.1 update consists mainly of bug fixes. One fixes artifacts that sometimes appeared on transparent objects when using lights that have soft shadows.
There are also fixes for Tree Lab and Metaballs, which experienced camera-tracking problems and associated crashes. A problem in which Bitmap-sequence output was rendering only one frame of a network-rendered animation has also been resolved.
Bryce 5 costs £194, £109 as an upgrade. The upgrade is available as a free download from Bryce's Web site.
