BT Openworld now supports Mac OS X 10.1, the company has announced.
Its products "became compatible" with Mac OS X 10.1 30 August, a BT Openworld spokesperson said yesterday. However, the company hasn't yet introduced Mac OS X 10.2 support.
Openworld customers have been dismayed by BT's lacklustre performance in bringing Mac OS X support to its customers. Last month, BT sources said that BT had "no plans" to introduce Mac OS X support. This has now changed.
A BT spokesperson said: "BT Openworld is committed to reaching total compatibility with the Mac community, our development teams are currently working to extend compatibility with other Mac platforms."
The company claims its Home 500 service is compatible with Mac OS 8.6 to 9.0; its Plug & Go product supports Macs from 8.6 to 9.2, the company claims.
