Military-grade headset technology is coming to the video iPod and will be demonstrated at CES this week.
eMagine Corp has developed a wearable headset that plugs into the popular gadget and displays video from it in front of one eye, according to a report in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
In use, the system (the EyeBud 800) offers the user a larger-looking image at a higher resolution than that of the iPod screen. It's not cheap - the report states it will cost as much as $599.
The system offers users a viewing experience that's akin to watching a 105-inch display from 12-feet away, the report explains.
