US electronics vendor Circuit City has named Apple and Belkin as recipients of its 2004 Vendor Recognition Awards.
The retailer's awards are divided into two categories: merchandising and supply chain. Apple and Belkin both won recognition on the company's 'merchandising' list.
"The 2004 Merchandising Vendor Excellence Award winners have shown a commitment to Circuit City and its customers by focusing on the growth of the business relationship, supply chain performance, product profitability and year-over-year impact on Circuit City's revenue," the retailer said.
Other recipients in the merchandising category include: Eastman Kodak, Gateway, Linksys, Samsung Electronics America and Western Digital Technologies.
"Supply Chain Excellence Awards Winners" include: Altec Lansing, Bel-Tronics, Bose, Cyber Acoustics, Franklin Electronic Publishers, Gateway, Lexmark, Metra Electronics, Monster Cable Products, Motion Systems, Samsung Electronics America, TDK Electronics and Western Digital Technologies.
While it is an iPod vendor, Circuit City does not carry Apple's computers in its stores.
