The company's growing product portfolio - following its merger with Allaire - has prompted it to add to its distribution channels.
New business Fiona Coughlan, managing director of Macromedia Northern Europe, said: "We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Computer 2000, which I believe can help drive Macromedia's business into new markets.
"As Macromedia's product line continues to grow, we needed to open up our distribution to attract the differing needs of our current and potential customers. Computer 2000 proved itself a worthy partner, and we are looking forward to working with them."
Cathi Low, general manager of the software division at Computer 2000, said: "We are delighted to have signed this agreement with Macromedia. It is an important and significant step for us, and one that underlines our credentials in both the corporate and creative sectors of the software market. We are expecting an enthusiastic response from our reseller customers. We firmly believe that we can open up new opportunities for both Macromedia."
