Connectix is unveiling DoubleTalk today at Macworld, San Francisco.
DoubleTalk accesses Windows networks from Macs. This product is designed for people with little or no Windows knowledge, but who need to share resources, such as file servers or printers on a Windows based network.
DoubleTalk accesses Windows fileservers, transfers files to and from shared Windows workstations, and prints to shared PC-based PostScript printers.
Peer-to-peer According to Connectix, DoubleTalk makes it easy for Mac and Windows users to create peer-to-peer workgroups, to transfer files and share printers.
It provides an enhanced print queue with detailed printer and print information. Using the DoubleTalk print mechanism speeds up printing by 50 per cent, Connectix claims.
DoubleTalk costs $99.
