Corel's chief financial officer (CFO) Michael O’Reilly has resigned, citing personal reasons.

O’Reilly joined Corel in 1997, after a 21-year career with KPMG, one of the world’s largest international accounting and consulting firms.

Corel CEO Michael Cowpland said O'Reilly “had done an outstanding job putting the company back into the black and turning round its fortunes”.

O’Reilly is remaining at Corel while the company looks for a replacement.

A Corel press release said that O'Reilly has not announced any plan for the future.
