Developer Tools 10.0.1, an update to the Developer Tools CD that ships in the box with OS X, is available for download from Apple's Web site.
It integrates better support for Java and WebObjects applications.
Apple's decision to ship developmental tools with OS X is widely regarded as part of the company's attempt to tempt more developers into working with its next-generation OS.
During the recent Worldwide Developer's Conference, Apple ran a demonstration of application building using these tools, in which a simple video editing application was built in under ten minutes.
Developers Tools 10.0.1 is only available to registered members of the Apple Developer Connection (ADC). Limited ADC membership is available for free, and this includes access to this update. Subscription membership packages provide better access to information and stronger support from Apple.
