Blizzard Entertainment has ported Diablo II to the Mac, just days after the release of the PC version of its role playing game.
Diablo II is a swords and sorcery, swashbuckling adventure game. Its predecessor, Diablo, sold over 2 million copies on multiple platforms.
Mike Morhaime, Blizzard Entertainment’s president and co-founder, said: "Not only is Diablo II our most ambitious undertaking to date, its also the first time in our company's history that we are able to launch the Mac version almost simultaneously with the PC version."
Diablo II should be released on three CD-ROMs worldwide by the end of July. It requires Mac OS 8.1 and 64MB RAM.
