The organizer of the Digital Camera show and Digital Solutions 2001 – Digital Solutions Events – has added 3,000 tickets to its free-entry offer.
Digital Solutions 2001 organizer Russell Peacock explained: "We originally offered the first 7,000 tickets free, and they went very quickly. We've decided to extend the offer by another 3,000." He suggested the show's success may reflect the exponential rise in use of digital print-technologies throughout the publishing industry over the last twelve months.
Kodak has joined Canon, Fuji and Epson in signing up for the Digital Camera show, prompting event organizer Michael Costain to say: "With Kodak on board, we can promote the show as a real 'must attend' event."
Show scene Digital Solutions is dedicated to digital print and publishing technologies and workflows, while the camera show is the first such event dedicated to the UK's digital camera market.
With both shows' focus on digital print, some exhibitors are electing to use the events as platforms for the launch of new and updated products. Enfocus plans to announce a major upgrade to its product range at the show. Its products include PitStop Professional and PitStop Server for publishing professionals. The company plans to release its new product, Enfocus Instant PDF, which will create "perfect PDFs for ultimate print predictability".
The two shows run in tandem fron November 27 to 29 at the ExCeL centre in London's Docklands.
