Giant UK high street electrical retailer Dixons plans to stop stocking 35mm camera sales.
A report on the BBC says the company will stock no more 35mm cameras after its current stock sells out. The move reflects the shift in favour of digital cameras.
It's a "sentimental moment" for the company, which specialised in camera sales when it began, said marketing director Bryan Magrath.
"We have decided that the time is now right to take 35mm cameras out of the frame."
Digital cameras sell 15 times as many units as 35mm cameras, the report explains.
