Epson has announced a a new colour laser printer with a 266MHz Dual RIP controller, which the company claims can print five A4 colour pages a minute and 20 in black-&-white. Epson boasts that the AcuLaser C2000 offers "the highest-quality colour laser output available today"
The AcuLaser C2000 uses Epson's Fine Dot Control technology that boosts the printer's optical resolution of 600-x-600dpi to 2,400-x-2,400dpi. This technology was developed from Epson's colour ink-jet technology.
Another technology, AcuLaser PhotoEnhance, improves the appearance of low-resolution images from digital cameras and scanners.
The AcuLaser C2000 comes with 500-sheet paper casette, with options for a second and a duplex unit for printing on both sides of a page.
