Blizzard Entertainment thrilled gamers at Macworld Expo, New York, saying it would bring Warcraft 3 to the Mac - but not till next year.
The title is currently under development, and is being built as a 3D role-playing game.
Players will enter a dynamic world with smaller groups of forces. The game will offer adventure scenarios, quests and more interaction with computer-controlled characters. The strategy element will also be maintained, creating a challenging game.
Blizzard has announced the game will feature five different races, heroic personalities and a fully interactive environment, featuring 3D animation. Each aspect of the game will be customizable, and multiplayer gaming over Blizzard’s Battle.net service will be included. Blizzard expects Warcraft 3 to cost $55 - no UK pricing is available yet.
