Extensis is seeing a bumper year for its font management products in Europe, attracting its highest-ever revenues in the territory.
Growth has been driven by server-based font management adoption; 3,250 total server installations have been sold over the past six years, with over 1,000 installations in 2005 alone. Server sales now account for 25 per cent of all Extensis' font business, equal to 100 per cent growth over the prior year.
"Several factors have combined to help us build momentum for Server based font management," said Bob Campbell, European business director at Extensis.
"With a huge crackdown on font piracy by the big manufacturers and a big uptake in Servers (both Mac and PC) in small organizations, the time is right for implementing server-based font solutions."
Campbell promised better to come: "In the not too distant future you'll see some amazing new upgrades from Extensis in the Font Management space," he said.
