AppleCentre City / Colyer has announced a series of Final Cut Pro training courses.
The video-editing courses will be held at Colyer's premises in London, with students trained in groups of four using Power Mac G4s equipped with 22-inch Apple Cinema Displays.
Colyer is offering two-day introduction-to-intermediate courses, and will begin advanced courses in July. The company's tutor is Birgitta Hosea, a video producer and registered Apple trainer for WebObjects. Samples of Hosea's work are available at StudioVenus.
Colyer's manager, Robert Peckham said: "Apple didn't have a central London dealer to host Final Cut pro training, and asked us to set up a course for it as we have a great training set-up here."
Peckham also discussed Colyer's strategy: "We have traditionally been a graphics-focused dealer, but we're moving increasingly into the Web publishing and video-production space."
June's courses are already fully booked, but Colyer plan on running four training sessions in July. Courses cost £495 per attendee, including full course-notes and materials, with a CD of all work produced on the course. More details are available from Colyer on 020 7833 2682.
