The Mozilla Foundation has released a new version of its popular Firefox browser (version 1.5.0.5).

It's a security update for the browser that addresses 12 security flaws that have been identified. A detailed list of problems fixed in the release is available here.

The release is "part of our ongoing program to provide a safe internet experience for our customers". "We recommend that all users upgrade to this latest version," the Foundation explains.

The update also offers some stability improvements over previous versions.
